Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Friends of Cathy McGovern,
It was eighteen months ago that Cathy was severely injured in an automobile accident. Today, she is moving around much like she did before the accident. Her wonderful recovery was due to the prayers of many of you, her good health, fantastic ER doctors, and her rehabilitation at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (SRA) in downtown Chicago. The ER doctors saved her life and SRA helped her to live her life again. During rehab at SRA, Cathy was taught adaptive ways to accomplish everyday tasks. Things we take for granted until we cannot do them; washing, dressing, going to the bathroom, and walking. SRA played a critical role in Cathy’s recovery and we are very grateful to them … and that brings me to the point of this letter.
On November 3, 2019 Shirley Ryan AbilityLab will hold its annual fund raising event called SkyRise Chicago. It is a climb up the Willis (Sears) Tower. I am participating in this year’s event to help support them. I am asking for you to consider making a donation.
Help me as I challenge myself physically and mentally to complete the climb and support of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a non-profit hospital. Your donation will help the research hospital continue to provide patients with world-class care for the brightest possible future.
