Welcome to Sarah's Personal Fundraising Page
This year I am participating in the SkyRise Chicago at the Willis Tower on November 4, 2018 in memory of my Grandma Lois and in support of my amazing patients. The SkyRise Chicago has 105 flights of stairs and directly benefits the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital in America as named by U.S. News & World Report. I have set a fundraising goal of $1000 and hope you can help me reach my goal!
SkyRise Chicago is the only stair climb open to individuals of varying physical abilities in the world. It allows participants to climb the stairs or hand cycle the equivalent distance. This year, we have several former patients whom are participating in the climb and have truly motivated me to not only climb this skyscraper, but be a better person and express gratitude for the simple things in life.
The AbilityLab provides world-class rehabilitation care to thousands of patients for traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and cancer recovery, and more. The funds raised through SkyRise Chicago will directly support advances in patient care and cutting-edge research. Every dollar raised will support the AbilityLab's cutting-edge patient care and innovative research, offering their patients the greatest hope for the future. The research hospital has helped thousands of people achieve ability to live their lives to the fullest. In addition to being the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital, Research is interwined with our patient care and recovery process to improve outcomes and guide the rehab industry.
SkyRise Chicago is truly a special event. It’s the only tower climb in the world to offer two modes of participation - by foot up the Willis Tower stairs and by hand-cycling the equivalent distance. These options give anyone, no matter their level of ability, the opportunity to participate. Help me as I challenge myself physically and mentally to complete the climb and support of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a non-profit hospital. Your donation will help the research hospital continue to provide patients with world-class care for the brightest possible future.
Tower up! Slowly but Shirley we will make it to the Top!
