Jacki's SkyRise Chicago Page!
I am SO excited to annouce that I am participating in SkyRise Chicago, the planet’s tallest indoor stair climb and hand-cycle event, at the Willis Tower on November 5, 2017. SkyRise Chicago benefits the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the #1 rehabilitation hospital in America as named by US News and World Report (and the organization I work for!). :)
I will be climbing with Team Homewood 2017, a team composed of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists from the DayRehab Center in Homewood, Illinois that I work at. I have set a personal fundraising goal of $500 and ask your help in meeting my goal. Every little bit counts! :)
SRALAB provides world-class rehabilitation care to thousands of patients for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, cancer recovery, and so much more. The funds raised through SkyRise Chicago 2017 will directly support advances in patient care and cutting-edge research at SRALAB.
SkyRise Chicago is truly unique--it is the only tower climb in the world to offer two modes of participation - by foot up the Willis Tower stairs and via stationary hand-cycling the equivalent distance uphill. These options give anyone, no matter their level of ability, the opportunity to participate.
Help me as I challenge myself (physically and mentally!) to complete the climb and support Shirley Ryan AbilityLab AND the patients that I am constantly inspired and in awe of. Together, we are helping even more patients benefit from SRALAB’s world-class care and research.
Tower Up! :)
