Bridget's Personal Message, Really, its me.
I am participating in SkyRise Chicago, tackling the planet’s highest indoor tower climb of the Willis Tower to raise funds for the nation's best rehabilitation hospital – the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC)!
This year SkyRise is especially important to me as a few of my former patients will be participating. One of whom I know very well and I hold him and his family very dear to me. He experienced bilateral arm amputations and a right leg amputation above the knee after and electrical burn injury that literally almost killed him. This is truly an amazing feat for him to be climbing over 100 flights of stairs! He is very inspirational and his will power and strength is so admirable. I don't normally ask people for money but if you know of anyone who has experienced a traumatic amputation and you'd like to support them and their families by donating, this is the best way to do so.
I truly love where I work and the people I work with. We do great work! If you can, support of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a non-profit hospital. Your donation will help the research hospital continue to provide patients with world-class care for the brightest possible future.
Best Regards and I hope you and your family are doing well.
