Eric C. Johnson - Welcome to My Personal Page
Battles come in all shapes and sizes, from the trivial (running marathons, climbing skyscrapers) to the significant (grading lab reports). On a whole other level, there are those that are just plain brutal (world wars, cancer). My own battles to date have been minor skirmishes at best, barely worth mentioning, while some around me have gone through terrible and frightening times. To give some meaning to the otherwise meaningless, I would like to use my upcoming, self-inflicted Sears Tower stair climb to invite you to consider helping me raise funds for the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. This organization offers, among other things, rehabilitation services for those recovering from a variety of traumatic or otherwise serious conditions. This will be my fifth time participating in SkyRise Chicago, and this year's date falls on what would have been my father-in-law Dave Larson's 75th birthday, who lost his battle with brain cancer last November.
