Eric C. Johnson - Welcome to My Personal Page
TL;DR: Please help me raise funds for the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in honor of my father-in-law, Dave Larson.
Battles come in all shapes and sizes, from the trivial (running marathons, climbing skyscrapers) to the significant (grading lab reports). On a whole other level, there are those that are just plain brutal (world wars, cancer). My own battles to date have been minor skirmishes at best, barely worth mentioning, while some around me have gone through terrible and frightening times. To give some meaning to the otherwise meaningless, I would like to use my upcoming, self-inflicted Chicago Marathon and Sears Tower stair climb events to invite you to consider helping me raise funds for the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. This organization offers, among other things, rehabilitation services for those recovering from a variety of traumatic or otherwise serious conditions. This will be my fourth time participating in SkyRise Chicago, but this year is especially personal for our family, as my father-in-law, Dave Larson, has made use of the AbilityLab services following surgery for a brain tumor (GBM). In his honor, I would like to try to raise significantly more than I have in the past, so any amount you’d be willing to offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
