The Ability Lab - helping me move again
Thanks for visiting and I appreciate your consideration for donating to the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). I have been extremely lucky with respect to recovering from my spinal cord injury just over three years ago through the help of so many poeple - family, friends, colleagues and the incredible folks (therapists, nurses, docs) at The AbilityLab. People at the AbilityLab were largely responsible for initially getting me moving again after my accident and surgeries. Jen, my main AbilityLab Physical Therapist, recruited me to participate in this Skyrise event and I'm thrilled to be able to do so. I am eternally grateful and cannot begin to thank Jen enough for what she has done for me. And it wasn't just PT - Jen was critically important for helping my mental well-being (an early walk outside that she took me on made me feel human again). Jen and folks like her at The AbilityLab are exceptional at what they do. The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is a non-profit world leading hospital and research enterprise in physical rehabilitation that does phenomenal work. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation so that they can continue conducting cutting edge research and care - your help is very much appreciated.
