I'm climbing up.....again!!!
To my fantastic friends, family and strangers who decided to check out my page, thank you!
I never thought I'd be saying this again but here we go....
On Sunday November 6th I will be participating in SkyRise Chicago!!! I will be tackling the Willis Tower's 103 floors to raise funds for the nation's best rehabilitation hospital, according to US News and World Report – the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC)!
Why would I do this again?
- "Climbing" 103 flights of stairs on a Stairmaster at the gym gets pretty boring, why not change up the scenery and enjoy people cheering for me?
- After climbing 2,109 stairs I can enjoy brunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Elizabeth, with no guilt.
- Most importantly, to raise money for the RIC!!!
RIC provides world-class rehabilitation care to thousands of patients for traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and cancer recovery, and more. I should know. I spent a number of months there in 1989, at age 9, relearning to walk, talk and read after suffering a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. Today, I am a Second Vice Pesident in Wealth Management at The Northern Trust Company.
The funds raised through SkyRise Chicago 2016 will directly support advances in patient care and cutting-edge research at RIC.
Help me as I challenge myself physically and mentally to complete the climb again and support RIC, a not-for profit hospital organization. Your donation will help RIC continue to provide patients with world-class care for the brightest possible future.
