RICH HOROWITZ: 2017 SKYRISE CLIMB
Nearing sixty-eight I am ever so fortunate that I still have the energy to scale the Tower. That is a gift for which I am everlastingly grateful. Countless others, young and old, face crises that make daily living a severe challenge. Participating in the Skyrise with its 103 flights spanning 2109 steps is one way I hope to lend support. Each step I take as I train for my climb up Willis Tower reminds me of the lonely and arduous road to recovery so many must travel. Their heart and courage gives me passion and determination as I prepare for this year's event. Any contribution at all will make a world of difference in the lives of many who benefit from the superb services at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). I thank you dearly for the constancy of your friendship over so many decades. I really could not ask for more.
With heartfelt appreciation,
