Welcome to My Personal Page
As you may know, I am an employee of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a rehabilitation hospital that provides care to thousands of patients for traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and cancer recovery, and more. Every year the hospital holds a fundraiser known as SkyRise Chicago. SkyRise Chicago is truly a special event. The fundraiser is a race, but instead of a race that requires distance running, participants will race up the 103 flights of the Willis Tower. The most unique part of this race? It offers two modes of participation- one by foot walking up the stairs, and the other by hand-cycling the equivalent distance. These options give anyone, no matter their level of ability, the opportunity to participate.
In the past I have participated in SkyRise by walking up the stairs. However, this year, I am participating in a different manner. I decided with all of the knee problems I have faced the past few years, it would be better participating as a hand cyclist. The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab holds a big piece of my heart, and I needed to do something in order to support them and the amazing advances they are making in patient care and research.
This is when I need your help! Help me support the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a non-profit hospital, by clicking the link below and giving anything you can. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help this research hospital continue to provide, and even advance, patients with world-class care for the brightest possible future.
