Welcome to My Personal Page
I am participating in SkyRise Chicago 2017, tackling the planet’s highest indoor tower climb at the Willis Tower to raise funds for the nation's best rehabilitation hospital, according to US News and World Report – formerly RIC now renamed the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
SRALab provides world-class rehabilitation care to thousands of patients for traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, stroke and cancer recovery, and more. The funds raised through SkyRise Chicago 2017 will directly support advances in patient care and cutting-edge research at this amazing facility.
As many of you know, my daughter Kylie was paralyzed during back surgery in 2011, and was told by some doctors she would never walk again. After 10 weeks and a lot of hard inpatient & outpatient therapy, Kylie learned to walk again. It was the most amazing 10 weeks of our family's life. Although Kylie still has residual paralysis, she is on her feet walking again due to the amazing therapists, support from our loving family and friends, and by her sheer will and determination to make it happen.
Last year our team, "Watcher's on the Willis", made up of family, friends, and Kylie's co-workers from the NYC and Chicago offices of the structural engineering firm, Thornton Tomasetti, raised over $18,000 in support of this cause. We are so grateful to all those who donated last year, and hope you will consider supporting us once again as we make the climb this Novemeber 5th.
By participating in this event for now a fourth year since Kylie's accident, we can continually give back to the place that has given us so much! This year, Kylie will be making her third climb climb up the tower, along side our amazing team to support the SRALab. Join Us! " Impossible is Nothing!"
